SARNZ and REVYRE announce partnership

SARNZ is thrilled to announce its partnership with REVYRE, a company dedicated to sustainability through the recycling and upcycling of end-of-life tyre waste into valuable commercial products. This collaboration aims to foster a circular economy where tyre waste is transformed into new, marketable goods.

With their innovative recycling methods, REVYRE repurposes locally sourced tyres that have reached their end of life. The outcome is a range of durable and environmentally friendly products, including Scaffold Soleplates and pallets, among others. By utilizing their expertise, REVYRE contributes to reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices.

Through this partnership, SARNZ looks forward to building a more sustainable industry with REVYRE, and seeing more products being used that are recyclable. As the industry association that represents companies and individuals involved in Scaffolding, Access and Rigging, SARNZ understands that connecting members with sustainable options and practices will be key to their continued success.

Tina Wieczorek, CEO of SARNZ, says of the partnership, "We're thrilled to be partnering with REVYRE to bring the latest sustainable options to our members. Through this partnership, members will be connected to ways that they can either recycle their tyre waste, or purchase products that are more sustainable and give their business an edge in sustainability goals. New Zealand is putting greater importance on sustainable business operation, and moving to using sustainable products and methods will put businesses ahead of competition in the future."

Shaun Zukor, MD and CEO of REVYRE, says, "Currently 90,000 tons of end-of-life tyres reach their end-of life each year in New Zealand. Current practices see the majority of those tyres being burned as tyre derived fuel. Only 20% of a tyre is used during its life and a staggering 80% end up as waste. Unbeknown to most, is that a waste tyre re-purposed is an almost infinite resources that can be used over and over again.

At REVYRE we are dedicated to creating sustainable and environmentally conscious products by repurposing end-of-life tyres through a unique circular process. Our innovative approach allows us to manufacture durable and eco-friendly products while also providing a sustainable solution for rubber material.

This partnership allows us to see first-hand what industry consumes and may require, and then identifying where we can replace virgin materials with recycled products. Working with industry rather than going it alone allows a sense of inclusion and collaboration, and who better to hear it from than the members of SARNZ. We are over the moon with this partnership".

Brett Sachs, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, shares what they hope to achieve in the next 12 months with this partnership, “REVYRE is part of a brave new economy that drives the circular economy, and as such is seeking like-minded partnerships with industry leaders in all sectors. The partnership with SARNZ is an exciting opportunity to bridge the scaffolding and rigging industry with innovative ways in which to reduce waste and reuse products in a bid to curb their combined carbon footprints. We see this partnership as an opportunity to educate and assist the industry in realising useful and tangible ways to add positive and meaningful environmental, social and governance impacts and goals to their businesses. We wish to collaborate with, and identify real opportunities within the industry, to negate the overuse of raw virgin materials with our functional recycled products that can be used and then re-recycled when they reach their end of life.”

Over the next 12 months, SARNZ and REVYRE plan to showcase to SARNZ members the benefits of sustainable options and how a circular economy can operate and be cost effective.
